Boudoir dolls. 1920+

Alice Bergerat was Judith Gautier'niece, herself daughter of French writer Théophile Gautier.

Alice Bergerat stayed with her aunt during WW1 and had illustrated one of her book "Un général de cinq ans" in 1916.  She probably helped her aunt at the making of dolls and puppets that Judith Gautier used to entertain her guests during the evenings at Saint Enogat near Dinard, like Georges Sand, friend of her father, did at Nohan, some time before. One has also to remember that Aurore Lauth Sand also made dolls during WW1 and one could have had some influence on the other.
