Jeanne Douin explains in an article "the rebirth of the French doll" (1916) that Aurore Lauth-Sand's dolls shows an evolution in the doll making with her creations presented in 1916 on an oriental theme. One note a doll dressed as a pharaon and another one dressed as Ali Baba. 1915+
