POUPEES DE SALON (2)

"Poupée de salon" is the French name for Boudoir doll.

Stefania Lazarska claimed in a 1925 interview to be the inventor of boudoir dolls, and researches show this is truth. However, the name "Poupée de Salon" was mostly used during the 20's, 30's and even 40's, before that time, those dolls were named "artistic dolls" by their maker who created them during WW1.
